When we speak of massage, we read a statement in the transactions of the American Hospital Association for 1930, "There is probably no other measure of equal value in the entire armamentarium of medicine which is so inadequately understood and utilized by the profeession as a whole." Massage has been put on the shelf for many years as a tool for physical healing. It has been replaced by machines and gadgets. However, it is making a comeback as an aid to healing and if properly administered is a true blessing from our Creator.
While you are learning the benefits of massage, you will also receive instruction about equipment selection, using modest draping techiniques, and applying basic modalities for practical massage.
This course is geared toward someone who wants to learn massage techniques, but doesn’t need to spend the time and money to become a massage therapist. While you won’t be able to practice professionally, you will be able to help your loved ones live more enjoyable and productive lives. It will also be beneficial for anyone planning to go to the mission field.
